About This Image Converter

What is an image converter?

An image converter changes a picture from one file format to another — for example turning a JPG photo into a PNG, or a PNG into a smaller WebP file. This tool converts JPG, PNG, WebP, and SVG files in any direction, directly in your browser. Note that converting a photo or icon into SVG embeds it inside an SVG wrapper rather than tracing it into true vector shapes.

How do I convert an image?

Add one or more images by dragging them into the upload area or choosing them from your device, pick the format you want under "Convert To," and press Convert. Each image can also be resized, compressed, cropped, rotated, or flipped before converting.

Can I convert multiple images at once?

Yes. Add as many images as you like to the queue, optionally apply the same output format, quality, and size to all of them at once, then press Convert All. When everything finishes, Download All saves every converted image together in a single ZIP file.

Can I resize or compress an image before converting it?

Yes. Each image has its own width, height, and quality controls, with an option to lock the aspect ratio so resizing never distorts the picture. Lowering the quality or switching to a more efficient format like WebP typically reduces file size, and the tool shows exactly how much smaller (or larger) the result is before you download it.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Every conversion, resize, crop, rotation, and compression happens locally in your own browser using standard web technology. Your images are never sent to this website's server or to any third-party service, which is also why this tool works without needing an internet connection once the page has loaded.
